Ico

Yet again another japanese inspired piece, however this one is styled very different from the former ukiyo-e paintings I've been doing. I wanted to move away from the simple solid colours and defining outlines of the ukyo-e pieces to a more surrealist style, if only for a few paintings. As you can see this piece required a lot of blending and amalgamations of well, green, yellow and shit like that. And so you know, this was taken from the european box art for the critically acclaimed ps2 game ICO. If you've ever seen the north american box art, well you'll know why i didn't choose to paint that, and probably why the game just didn't sell over here. e-z.

Ukiyo-E Part 2

As I said, I've been doing some ukiyo-e inspired shit. So here was the second piece in the set. Both pieces were painted on some ikea stock painting that i found and smothered with primer. I think they look much better now, dont u?

Ukiyo-E

There's only so many pics i can upload at once, and this shit is hard to capture in 1 pic, so my next set will be in pieces. These pictures are influenced by the ukiyo-e style paintings from 19th century Jpan. I was scheduled to go there, but the ongoing nuclear crisis put that shit on hold for a bit. Ive been doing alot of these lately, and will continue to do so. Here is the first of many, a samurai war scene. ez

OG Kirk & Predator

These were both Acrylics on canvas done around october - november of 2010. The one features a master chief-esque figure who I've dubbed OG Kirk in reference to my brothers' infamous Xbox Live character. The other is a picture of the 'Predator' with the setting sun behind him.

DBZ's

Here are 2 DragonBall Z paintings done with acrylics. Vegeta was done I believe around October 2010, and in order to give it more of a desired rain effect I airbrushed the background yo. The Dragon Shenron was done in December of 2010 purely with acrylics, and was given as a gift to a very good friend of mine since we all know china men believe in dragons, shit took close to 30 hours if I recall correctly.

Halloween & Lennon

It's been a while since ive posted anything so I thought i would post my past submission into the wordans design contest, as well as my current submission into this 'recurring' contest. The first 1 was a Halloween themed design which takes its element from various movies of the 90's. The 2nd is a tribute to the only song of john lennon's that i like. The sad thing is i keep losin to the gayest designs people can come up with. Craziness.
